We’ve been fortunate enough to do quite a bit of travelling in our time – having met in Tokyo and moved to Singapore, Alice and I travelled around Asia both before and after having the kids as often as possible. We never thought to do a holiday like Beaches; an all-inclusive pool-side escape just wasn’t on our ‘To Do’ list. So when I was approached by Beaches to have a stay at their Turks and Caicos resort, we were intrigued and excited to try it out.
This holiday was without a shadow of a doubt, the best family holiday we have ever been on. To this day, nearly 6 months later, Etta asks us at least once a week if she can go back to Turks and Caicos. We had no idea that holidays could be so relaxing while still being so much fun for the children.
The fact that this is an all inclusive holiday means that there is absolutely no need to leave the resort, every day we woke up and decided which pool we would be sitting around for the morning over a large and delicious buffet breakfast. There was a huge selection of food, of activities, of lounge chairs, of music and of friends for the kids as well as for us. Whatever your tastes or interests, this holiday will keep everyone entertained!!
Etta loved the Sesame Street characters that regularly popped up around the resort, Ezra was entranced by the sand on the beach and the amazing cookies on offer, Alice enjoyed some quite time by the pool (and managed to finish that book she started 6 months before!!) and I loved seeing my whole family happy and having fun. Oh and the coffee they serve around the resort is amazing!!
I know that this sounds like a sales pitch, and in some ways it is – we were hosted by Beaches – but I can honestly say that this has been the highlight of our year and we have spent the last few months trying to figure out when and how we can get back for another family holiday.
Head over to the beaches site now and take a look at their fantastic offers available now.
